This is my fourth Jabra product. For bluetooths they are in my opinion the most comfortable and user friendly. My last three had better sound quality than this one from both ends, lots of complaints that people can't hear me, friend's noticed the day I changed from the Jabra BT500 that one was great and lasted for a year and a half and I used it daily. Going back to the BT500

I have owned close to 20 bluetooth headsets of various brands, I just like to try and compare. Jabra is by far my preferred brand. I have three or four different models. They now seem to be the only ones to produce "behind the ear" headsets, which to me are the most comfortable and eye glass friendly. They are less noticeable than other headsets. Battery lasts very long and sound quality is very good. This one is charged with a standard mini usb plug, the same I charge my Blackberry with.

The shape of the hard plastic ear hook was designed to cause pain - note the 2 hard plastic jagged corners turned towards your ear while the rounded portion faces up and away from any skin that it could interfere with harming.



My second complaint would be that you must hold it against your ear to be able to hear anything thus defeating the point of a "hands free" headset.



The price is good and if you wear it in silent places where you stand a chance of hearing through it then it's almost usable but I've gotten Motorola 500 headsets for about the same price on Amazon and they work much better and are comfortable as opposed to painful.

This isnt the best bluetooth headset in the world but it gets the job done espically for the price. It has great battery life and the sound quality is pretty good. I have no trouble talking to someone even in a noisy background and the other person can hear me pretty well.

First of all I have owned many headsets over the years. I am writing about the Jabra BT530 because it really is a superb product.



I had a jabra BT350 about 4 to 5 years ago. It functioned well but it was big, ugly and had a very poor fit. I then went through a couple of Plantronics (The 655 series) where the eargels always fell off due to a very poor design. Plus Plantronics first generation noise reduction was not very effective. The Plantronics performance was satisfactory but the eargel problem was not acceptable. Then I had a pair of Moto units, the H700 which I misplaced and the H710 which was a better unit than the H700 but eventually failed after a year. However these two Motorola units could not handle ambient noise at all. I then purchased a Jawbone II that I could not get to fit at all, plus the ear hooks were a joke. So, I gave it to my wife and we found an eargel that worked well for her. (A Jabra) I can not understand how Jawbone got such a reputation, the technology really works well, however the implimentation is aweful. A week ago after much research I found the Jabra BT530 and this is the first BT unit I have used that really impresses me.



1.) Fit, for me it is good, I use a old style Jabra eargel. The ones that look like hearing aid molds. For my ear the Large Right works best with the ear hook. I have not been able to make the 3rd generation earhooks work as well as these older models.

2.) Sound quality is superb, I rank this right up there with the Jawbone. (When the Jawbone cheak sensor is positioned next to your face and working correctly) The BT350's noise reduction is IMHO on a par with the Jawbone without the digitized distortion you sometimes get with the Jawbone.

3.) Ergonomics are great, I could not design a better product. I love the seperate power switch and controls.

4.) Asthetics are great, I love the look.



Overall this is a fantastic product. Over the years I have grown so used to BT headsets that I find it almost impossible to use a cell phone without a head set. When driving, for me, BT is a must!



Jabra really took their years of leadership in the BT market and poured everything into this little device. The only reason I did not give it five stars is the fact that the new eargels are a step backwards for Jabra. Highly recommended.

Got this to pair with my Blackberry Curve 8900. It paired easily and works very well. Haven't used in any really noisy environments but so far it has been loud enough and I haven't had any complaints from the people I've called while using it. It's comfortable to wear without the earhook when using the eargels with the ring on them. Range isn't wonderful but I'm almost always with my phone. Even when the phone is in a bag or in a pocket on the opposite side of the headset things are fine.

Once I figured it out, and having used it now for about a couple weeks, I'm very pleased. I agree with previous posts that it's wonderfully light, almost to the point where you forget you're wearing it.



Instructions with the unit were sketchy. It was necessary for me to download complete manuals both for the JX10 and the Verizon/Samsung phone for me to figure out how to get them to talk to each other. (A teenager could probably have done it in seconds).



The little light on the thing is VERY bright in darkness. The steady red when charging and steady green when charged is no problem. But A week after I got the thing a storm moved through town, shutting down electricity. We were awakened in the middle of the night by a blue flashing light, wondering: "What in the world...." My first sleep-fogged impression was that we were surrounded by police cars; really, it's that bright. Finally found it, I wrapped it in a thick black shirt so we could go back to sleep. Last night I was still wearing it, walked through a dark hallway to the garage and the blue light was bouncing off the walls "What in the world ... Oh. That's not a police car, it's my ear." That's more of an amusing distraction than a problem, except at 2 a.m.



It annoys my wife at mealtime, so I put it in the ear away from her.

I've had this headset for a while now. It's the best one I've found. People never complain when I'm on it. It's never given me problems. The only issue is the earhook. It breaks often and needs to be replaced. If they can resolve that issue, this is a great headset.

The pairing process is a little different, I actually had to whip out the manual for this one. I don't like the long press time to activate the voice commands on my phone. The shape of the hard plastic ear hook was designed to cause pain - note the 2 hard plastic jagged corners turned towards your ear while the rounded portion faces up and away from any skin that it could interfere with harming.



My second complaint would be that you must hold it against your ear to be able to hear anything thus defeating the point of a "hands free" headset.



The price is good and if you wear it in silent places where you stand a chance of hearing through it then it's almost usable but I've gotten Motorola 500 headsets for about the same price on Amazon and they work much better and are comfortable as opposed to painful.

This isnt the best bluetooth headset in the world but it gets the job done espically for the price. It has great battery life and the sound quality is pretty good. I have no trouble talking to someone even in a noisy background and the other person can hear me pretty well.
