Be careful when buying this dongle! The description says A2DP supported, but what it doesn't say is that to use A2DP on XP, you have to have to buy third party software like from BlueSoleil (~$30). This dongle doesn't come with any drivers, so be careful and check out whether or not your operating system built-in drivers support the protocol you want!

Ok this usb dongle made up with SCR lcl chip, if you google scr lcl driver there are the whole bunch of link for you to download driver. For me this dongle worked find cause my system was install the universal bluetooth driver that built into the software named "ivt Blue Soleit" (another chinese made software). Or you can google "Toshiba bluetooth stack" will also recognized this bluetooth dongle too. if you own toshiba laptop you are in luck.
What have we learned from here? Chinese way just like hit and run, they are absolutely cheated anyway that they can, produced cheap products without support. You have to be really really technical in order for you to get these kind of product works. I think Bargaincell if they continue carry and sell this product on Amazon.com they better go back to their source in china and obtain at least driver for customer whoever buy this product at least the link on their website to download the driver.
Thing like this should be report to Amazon.com and Amazon.com itself have to implement something to ensure we don't get cheated and ripped off by product like this.

The product arrived with no instruction and no software. I have no idea if I can even make it work. I can't even find a website to download the software for the device.

I received a dongle of "GT Max" brand and not Avantalk. In contrast to "Avantalk" products, the product and the packaging lack any manufacturer address or contact info. There is no warranty information anywhere in the package. Worst of all, no software was provided with the product. I intended to use the device for stereo audio mostly. The default Windows XP bluetooth driver provides no functionality besides just recognizing the presence of the device. "GT Max" has no website that could be used to download the required software to make the device operate. In short, the experience was not a good one. The plus in the whole affair is that the vendor, BargainCell did ship immediately and I received the product quickly. It is beyond monetary reason to return this product to the vendor for a refund due to the cost of the required 'trackable' shipping that must be paid by the customer.

I had this installed in my Dell laptop (running current version of WinXP) and was never able to make it work. I could never get it to connect with any bluetooth device I have, using either the provided Microsoft drivers or the ones provided with the device.
