Bluetooth technology is a very iffy thing. Just because a headset says bluetooth does not mean it will work well with this bluetooth hub. I had a MotorTrend MTBT09 headset and the microphone volume was too low to be useable. Earphone volume was ok though. The manual for this does say that they don't guarantee compatibility with anything other than a Jabra headset, so if you are building a phone system you should keep everything the same brand. I returned EVERYTHING and just bought the Plantronics Calisto Pro phone which comes with everything all matched up.

I am very pleased with this piece of equipment. It has allowed me to utilize my Jabra BT8010 not only with my cell phone but with my office phone. I am very impressed with Jabra product having owned 5 different headsets and now the A7010.

I already have a Bluetooth headset, so didn't want to buy a headset/phone integration combo. After searching for a while, I found this unique product that lets you use your headset with a normal desk phone. It behaves just like a wired headset amplifier, and took about 30 seconds to set up the pairing.
If you want to connect your Bluetooth headset to a wired desk phone, this is what you want.

This was bought to work with a pair of bluetooth Siemens hearing aids with a Siemens Tek remote control. Jabra does not claim that the A7010 will work with anything other than Jabra headsets, but it is bluetooth standard. Although it paired with no issues to both the Siemen's Tek and to a Motorola H710, neither could take control of or answer the call on either an office or home landline phone. Both headsets work flawlessly with an LG cell phone. The worst part is that Jabra literally has no tech support to even contact for assistance, solving their problem of not supporting other devices, nor even their own.
An update on this issue: The Jabra User Manual states to hit the Talk button on the headset. What others found is that hitting the Pairing button on the Jabra unit actually switches the call to the headset. The button on the headset will supposedly work if you purchase the optional GN1000 handset lifter, which lifts the handset off hook allowing you to answer the call remotely. Without this extra appliance though, the button on top of the Jabra does switch the call allowing it to work. This would explain the remark in the User Manual about what to do if you accidentally switch into pairing mode, which would happen if you held the pairing button down too long.

This is a great box! I wish it were a bit less costly, but it does what it says it does. Good buy. Works with my Plantronics headset that came with my Calisto Pro.
